We would like to start off by acknowledging all the students who helped with spirit week: Anthony Henson, Manuel Armijo, George Vieira and Ryan Cumpston for barbecuing all day so the student body and staff could have a special lunch.

Justin Boyce won the hot dog contest and Tyler Gillam won the pie eating contest.

We would also like to thank the students who ran and organized events. Ryan Cumpston, Anthony Henson and John Watson ran Reggae Day. Bianca Frias and Rebecca Hackler ran Nerd Day. Leah Davidson and Amanda Gamble ran Gender Bender Day. Rebecca Hackler and Erika Streckfuss

ran 80s Day. Finally, Ryan Cumpston and Manuel Armijo ran Red, White and Blue Day.

“The whole student body participated to make it fun and memorable. Find the glasses and guess the song went really well and we had live music played by Justin Boyce, Nick Ford and Mathew Vaughn,” said our principal, Ed Zander.

Thank you to all the students who put in a great deal of effort to make spirit week enjoyable for everyone!

Prom was on April 24 and went great! Everyone had a good time and all the games were successful.

“Prom went really well! Students were well behaved and everyone seemed to have a good time. It was music, food and laughter,” Mr. Zander said about prom.

Our prom king was Paul Silsby and queen was Stefani Conner; prince was Tyler Gillam and princess was Shanea Bullard. Congratulations to the four of you!

A big thank you to everyone who helped pull it off: Gary Oakes, Brian Claiche, Gena Lane and Kim Van Horn all helped with set up, clean up and everything in between alongside our generous staff who worked hard to make sure everyone had a great night.

Thanks also go out to Lucas Powell, Jeff Martin, Leana Efestione, Morganna Granthan, Chris McArley, Will McAlister, Dan Maes, Ruby McMullen, Andrea McMullen, Gordan Granthan, Paul Silsby, Lucas Powel, George Vieira, Kayellia Lansdowne, Christina Ortega, Jeff Martin and Ed Zander who all spent their Saturday morning setting up for prom and finishing all the details.

We also would like to thank DJ André and Arianna Ari for providing the music for prom. Subway in Hidden Valley Provided the food and Shandra Vielguth and Jessica Gillam provided excellent service. Shandra is manager and they are both Carlé graduates. We appreciate all the help we received and couldn't have pulled it off without everyone!

Michelle Larue's portfolio was on April 29 and went very well!

Our secretary Barbara Dye's birthday was also on April 29 and all of the students and staff of Carlé made sure we did our best to show her how much she is loved! We all hope you had a great birthday!

And finally, our student of the week was Jakob Everhart because he has really come “out of his shell” here and become a great student! Jakob is a great guy who is honest and moral and a great example to all of us.

Andrea McMullen is a student at Carlé Continuation High School in Lower Lake.
