KELSEYVILLE – Kelseyville Presbyterian Church would like to extend an invitation to all children and their families in the Kelseyville area to join the congregation for worship and an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 4.


The hunt is sponsored by Kelseyville Presbyterian Church as a community outreach project.


The event will begin after the 10 a.m. worship service.

LAKEPORT – The Lake County Shrine Club's change of gavel ceremony will take place this Tuesday, March 30.


The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Hartley Lodge, 375 N. Main St., in Lakeport.


Shriners President JJ Jackson will hand off the leadership to Jim Swatts for the coming year, and the inauguration for the rest of the club directors also will be held in the presence of the California Potentate.


The community is invited to attend.

NICE – The 13th Annual Stars of Lake County Community Awards will be held on Saturday, April 10, at Robinson Rancheria Resort and Casino in Nice.


Entrance by guests this year will be through the north entrance, not through the casino area. Look for the lighted archway into the concert room.


Tickets this year are $60 per person for the dinner, awards ceremony and dance.


The reception will begin at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. David Neft will be playing for the reception and dinner hour.


The awards ceremony will begin at 7:15 p.m.


Tony Barthel of the Featherbed Railroad B & B will provide DJ music for dancing following the awards.

LAKE COUNTY – The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Master Gardeners of Lake County still have a good supply of their 2010 Lake County Master Gardener Calendar.


The calendar was produced with Lake County home gardeners in mind.


The 2010 calendar theme is "Integrated Pest Management", commonly referred to as IPM; and contains management information produced by the UC Statewide Integrated Pest Management Program for some of the most common pests found in Lake County gardens.


The calendar also includes a month by month gardening guide.


All information in the Master Gardener calendar has been written with Lake County growing conditions in mind, which makes it a unique, as well as useful gift for local home gardeners.


The calendar is available for $10 if purchased at the UCCE office, or $12 if mailed.

LAKEPORT – The Lakeport Rotary's 85th annual Easter egg hunt will take place on Sunday, April 4.


The event will take place, rain or shine, at the Lake Couty Fairgrounds, 401 Martin St., Lakeport.


Gates open at 1:15 p.m., with the hunt beginning at 1:30 p.m.


There will be three groups for children up to age 12.
