SACRAMENTO – The California State Association of Counties, or CSAC, strongly opposes changes to current utility liability laws and expresses concern over comments made by the California Public Utilities Commission staff at a hearing on Tuesday in the Senate Energy and Utilities Committee.

Lucerne Area Town Hall subcommittee meetings scheduled for Friday

LUCERNE,Calif. – The Lucerne Area Town Hall will hold three subcommittee Meetings Friday evening. Topics to be addressed during the subcommittee meetings will include drafting a letter to the Sheriff, reviewing the pupose and goals of LATH and potential council action regarding water rate proceedings currently before the California Public Utilities Commission.

Findings and suggestions from the subcommittee meetings will then be presented at the next full LATH meeting March 21, 2019 for discussion and action. 

The subcommittee meeting will be held March 8th, 2019 7:00 p.m. at the Konocti Bait Shack in Lucerne Harbor Park located at 6199 East Highway 20, Unit #3 Lucerne, CA 95458 and is open to the public with specific invitation to residents of the Lucerne community growth boundary.

The full agenda for the subcommittee meetings includes:

SUBCOMMITTEE: Draft a letter addressed to Sheriff Martin regarding local crime concerns.

  1. Call to Order of Subcommittee meeting
  2. Roll call.
  3. PUBLIC INPUT- Up to 3 minutes per citizen to provide input on any item not on the agenda but within the Council’s jurisdiction.
  4. Discussion and drafting of letter to Sheriff Martin regarding local crime concerns.
  5. Adjournment

SUBCOMMITTEE: Reviewing the purpose and goals of the LATH and to consider revisions to the By-Laws.

  1. Call to Order of Subcommittee meeting
  2. Roll call.
  3. PUBLIC INPUT- Up to 3 minutes per citizen to provide input on any item not on the agenda but within the Council’s jurisdiction.
  4. Review purpose and goals of the LATH and consider revisions to the By-Laws.
  5. Adjournment

The Lucerne Area Town Hall is a Municipal Advisory Council sanctioned by the Lake County Board of Supervisors with a governing council appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

The purpose of LATH is to increase the participation of the residents in the Lucerne community growth boundary in decisions affecting the community.
Date Formed: January 10, 2017
Term/Expiration: 2 year terms
Membership: All LATH meetings are open to the public and there are no membership requirements; however, to take part in any action taken by LATH, persons must reside within the LATH boundaries.
Governing Council Appointments: 5 members: Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Records Keeper and two Members at Large

  • must be a registered voter in the County of Lake
  • must have attended at least two LATH meetings in the preceding year
  • must reside within the LATH boundaries
