Caltrans plans major roadwork through Feb. 25

NORTH‌ ‌COAST,‌ ‌Calif.‌ ‌–‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌reports‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌road‌ ‌projects‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌taking‌ ‌place‌ ‌around‌ ‌the‌ ‌North‌ ‌Coast‌ ‌during‌ ‌the‌ ‌coming‌ ‌week.‌ ‌

Included‌ ‌are‌ ‌Mendocino‌ ‌County‌ ‌projects‌ ‌that‌ ‌may‌ ‌impact‌ ‌Lake‌ ‌County‌ ‌commuters.‌ ‌
‌
Caltrans‌ ‌advises‌ ‌motorists‌ ‌to‌ ‌drive‌ ‌with‌ ‌caution‌ ‌when‌ ‌approaching‌ ‌work‌ ‌areas‌ ‌and‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌prepared‌ ‌to‌ ‌stop‌ ‌at‌ ‌traffic‌ ‌control‌ ‌stations.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌Traffic‌ ‌Operations‌ ‌Office‌ ‌has‌ ‌reviewed‌ ‌each‌ ‌project‌ ‌and‌ ‌determined‌ ‌that‌ ‌individual‌ ‌project‌ ‌delays‌ ‌are‌ ‌expected‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌less‌ ‌than‌ ‌the‌ ‌statewide‌ ‌policy‌ ‌maximum‌ ‌of‌ ‌30‌ ‌minutes‌ ‌unless‌ ‌
noted‌ ‌otherwise.‌ ‌ ‌

Highway‌ ‌20

– Tree work from north Saratoga Spring Road to south of Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway‌ ‌29

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Seigler Canyon Road on Friday, Feb. 19. Southbound lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Route 281 and North Soda Bay Road for Friday, Feb. 19. One-way traffic will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Route 281 to Private Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and overnight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Road 8067 to Ocean View Drive on Friday, Feb. 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays. LC#P1FA

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work 1.17 miles south of Elk Creek on Tuesday, Feb. 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway‌ ‌20

– Sign installation from Route 1 to Broaddus Creek Bridge will begin on Monday, Feb. 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Sign installation from Road 8114 to Three Chop Road will occur on Friday, Feb. 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway‌ ‌101

– Sign installation from Geysers Road to Pieta Creek Bridge will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Uva Drive to Ridgewood Ranch Road will begin on Monday, Feb. 22. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.

– Sign installation from Ridgewood Ranch Road to Road 310B Shimmins Ridge will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work from North Willits Railroad Crossing to Big Trails Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Moss Cove Safety Rest Area will be closed through Fall 2021.

– Sign installation from Ten Mile Creek to Bell Springs / Road 324 will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Frontier Communications has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Branscomb Road to .6 miles south of Rattlesnake Summit on Friday, Feb. 19. One-way traffic will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Rattlesnake Summit to Bell Springs / Road 324 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists can anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Empire Camp Safety Rest Area will be closed through Fall 2021.

– Sign installation from Frontage Road to South Fork Eel Bridge 100-299 will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway‌ ‌128

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Flynn Creek Road to Philo School Road beginning on Monday, Feb. 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
