George D. Stokes entered into rest on Oct. 6, 2021, at the age of 74.

He was an honored Army veteran with service in Vietnam. He also had a 42-year career with PG&E.

George is survived by his twin daughters, Vicki and Mary; sister, Johnnie; brothers, Tom and Joe; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Sebastopol Memorial Lawn in Sebastopol, California, on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Denise Mildred Reading passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021.

Denise was born on July 14, 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Marie and Calvin Gough.

Denise is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Rich Reading, and the light of their lives, their daughter, Mariesa Reading.

She is also survived by many friends and family members including her brothers, Roger and Gary Gough; sister, Karma Fickbaum; and brother-in-law, Paul (Gloria) Reading.

Denise was the best mother and best friend to every person whoever knew her. She will be forever missed.

Oct. 18 celebration of life planned for Lee Cook

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. — Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life in remembrance of Lee Cook on Monday, Oct. 18.

The celebration will begin at noon at the Ely Stage Stop and Country Museum, 9921 Soda Bay Road, Kelseyville.

Cook died at age 73 on Dec. 2, 2020.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Lake County Historical Society Blacksmith Shop project.
