Terri Lynn Barker (Parker) passed away Aug. 6, 2012, in Lakeport, Calif.

She was born in Peoria, Illinois, on Oct. 5, 1944.

Terri spent her early years in Southern California before moving to Lake County in the 1980s.

She was a loving mother to Jennifer Alexander and Sean Nugent of Kelseyville; sister to Todd Parker of Encino, Calif. and Randy Parker of Chatsworth, Calif; grandmother, aunt and friend to countless people; and a direct descendant of American pioneer Daniel Boone.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and residents of Evergreen Lakeport Healthcare for their years of care and compassion.

Terri will surely be missed. “SSDD”

Robert Lee James Jr., 79, passed away at his home in Lower Lake, Calif., on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012.

Memorial Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday Aug. 11, at Calvary Chapel, 14330 Memory Lane, Clearlake, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to WestAmerica Bank, Douglas James Trust for The Robert Lee James Memorial Fund.

Judy Avey

Judy Avey lost her battle with cancer July 29, 2012, at home surrounded by her children and friends.

She was born in Oakland on March 22, 1940. She graduated from Oakland High School and U.C. Berkeley with a bachelor of arts degree in political science, and maintained a lifelong interest and knowledge of politics and government.

She and Rich Avey were married in 1962. They settled in the Calistoga area in 1982. Rich died in 2001. Judy became administrative assistant to the pastor of Community Presbyterian Church in 2003.

Judy is survived by her children, Pamela and Dan; cousin, Claudia Blancher; granddaughter, Maddie Avey; grandson, Charlie Flynn; son-in-law, Kiev Schul; Iseth Cowan Rae, Jason and Marilyn Cowan.

A memorial service will be held at Community Presbyterian Church, 1407 Third St. in Calistoga, on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 11:30 a.m.

Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Community Presbyterian Church.
