KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – A celebration of life for Philip F. Mateer Jr. has been scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12.

The celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kelseyville Lions Club, 4335 Sylar Lane.

Mateer, a Navy veteran and retired Lake County deputy sheriff and Mendocino County bailiff, lived for many years in Lake County before moving to Idaho in 2014.

He died on July 26, 2019, at age 70. His full obituary can be found here.
