James Robert Murgatroyd (Jim) died suddenly at his home in Olympia, Washington, on Jan. 5, 2019.
Jim was born in San Francisco, California, on Sept. 25, 1950, to Kenneth and Jeanne Murgatroyd.
After proudly serving his country in the US Marine Corps, he went on to work for PG&E for nearly 40 years.
He married and had three beautiful children with Leslie Murgatroyd.
Jim was known for his quick-witted sense of humor and his love of traveling, usually on a motorcycle. He loved his family more than anything.
Jim is survived by his wife, Donna Murgatroyd, and her sons; his beloved children, Brandon Nutt and wife Laura Nutt, his daughter, Robyn Murgatroyd-Pendell, his son Bryan Murgatroyd and wife Melynda Murgatroyd; his seven grandchildren, Kylie Nutt, Gabriel Nutt, Landon Murgatroyd, Anzley Pendell, Lincoln Murgatroyd, Molly Murgatroyd, and Henry Murgatroyd; and his siblings, Kenneth Murgatroyd, Jeanne Greer and Larry Murgatroyd.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Patty Murgatroyd; late wife, Carole Murgatroyd; and son-in-law, Jeremy Pendell.
Services will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Luther Burbank Center in Santa Rosa, Calif. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Jim’s life.
