April 28, 1937 to Oct. 30, 2018

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Although born in Albany, Calif., Jeanette spent most of her pre-teens living and having fun in Fortuna, Calif.

She found herself owning a horse and soon discovered the large amount of love and joy that having a horse could bring. She soon mastered the art of riding a horse, falling in love with them throughout most of her life.

In her early teens her family moved to Clearlake, Calif., to live. Although she missed her horse and Fortuna, she soon fell in love with Clearlake. She completed grammar school and entered Lower Lake high School as a freshman.

Upon becoming a high school junior, she eventually noticed her future husband Del Fellers, whom she asked to a Sadie Hawkins dance. They went steady until completing high school and eventually became engaged and got married in Clearlake on June 1, 1957.

Before and after getting married Jeanette and Del lived in Berkeley, Calif., where Jeanette worked as a key punch operator for State Farm Insurance, and Jeanette’s husband joined Bank of America as a management trainee.

Over the years Jeanette and Del had two children between 1960 and 1965. She and Del had lived in several Bay Area communities until January 1970. She then started on a path of international travel and living.

From 1970 to 1977 Jeanette lived in Hong Kong, Spain and Chile. She found this to be a wonderful experience for the entire family but clearly missed the good old U.S.A and yearned to return to Clearlake.

After several years back in Clearlake, she went to work for Suburban Propane Co. She worked there for 15 years and retired as office manager of the plant in Clearlake.

After retirement, Jeanette kept busy with her favorite three pastimes, her love of poodles, her love of community service through her membership of the Clearlake Lioness Club, and her favorite of all – “Christmas” and Christmas decorating. It was often said that she had enough Christmas decorations to accommodate at least 10 homes.

Last of all, was her annual RVing attendance at the Stonyford Rodeo, joining her many friends who also attended for 30 years or more.

She had a life that she loved and was well lived through her beloved family and loving marriage of 61 years.

Jeanette and her spouse owned a small walnut orchard where she and her hubby still lived at her passing.

A visitation service will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Jones & Lewis, CLMC 16140 Main St., Lower Lake, with a funeral service at Jones & Lewis CLMC on Saturday, Nov. 10, starting at 11 a.m.

Interment will be at Lower Lake Cemetery, 9040 Lake St., immediately following.
