LOWER LAKE, Calif. – Randolph Selvin "Randy” Onstad, age 86, of Lower Lake passed away at his home on April 5, 2018.
He was born in Plentywood, Mont., on June 21, 1931, son of Selvin and Dolores Buckman Onstad.
Randy enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan as a medical technician.
He made his home in California where he and his wife Marion (Shingledecker) Onstad were married in 1960.
He is survived by wife, Marion; daughter, Rachel (Heher) Onstad (Lower Lake); son, Aaron Onstad (Lower Lake); grandchildren, Rae Thompson (Oakland), Kirsten Heher (Davis), Kyle Heher (San Jose); sisters, Audrey Knight and Karen Neilsen (Mpls., MN). He was preceded by siblings, Delvin, Russ, Don, Joel, Joyce Moen and Sylvia Mourning.
Randy was a good man and a good rancher; he will be greatly missed by family and friends in Minnesota and California.
