Vernon D. Smith
May 1, 1934 - April 18, 2018

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Vernon was born to Seaborne and Mary Smith in Seminole, Okla.

He met and married the love of his life, Sidney Beth Jones on June 18, 1955.

He served as a communications specialist in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and then went on to work at Albertsons Grocery as produce manager for 18 years. When he retired, Vernon and Beth moved to Lakeport in 1995.

Vernon and Beth had five children, Sharon, Bob, Dale, Grant and Kelly; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren that he loved and talked about fondly.

He is predeceased by his beautiful wife, Sidney Elizabeth, and his wonderful son, James Robert.

Life can be hard sometimes but God is good. So this isn’t goodbye, but a short time apart until we see you again. We love you, Pops!
