He was drafted into the Army and served in the Korean War. When he returned he married his high school sweetheart, Arlene.
Doug was in the construction industry and operated heavy equipment for 38 years until his retirement in 1991.
Doug and Arlene are parents of three daughters, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Doug loved Lake County and enjoyed many days on the golf course. He was active member of the community. Doug was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 183 of Clearlake and a member of the Middletown Bible Church.
