Janice “Karen” Sperling, 71, passed on Feb. 18, 2018 at St. Luke's Campus, San Francisco, Calif. Her loving sister, Bea, was at her side.

Karen was born on Oct. 30, 1946, to Edna and Ted Nail at Lakeside Hospital, Lakeport, Calif.

Karen was preceded in death by her son, Anthony “Tony” Dean Sperling; her husband, Lonnie Sperling; and her mother, Edna Mae (Mullen) Hunter.

She is survived by her sister, Beatrice Tunison (Greg); her father, Ted Nail; her grandson, Lonnie Sperling; brother-in-law, David Sperling (Debbie); sisters-in-law, Sandy Wood and Linda Courtright (Emmett); and mother-in-law, Alice Sperling. She will also be missed by her many cousins, nieces and nephews.

At her request, there will be no services, however, memorials may be made to Hospice Lake County in her name.
