LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Mark Allan Powers was born April 5, 1971, and passed away Jan. 15, 2018.

Mark was born in Lower Lake and lived in Lake County his entire life.

He is survived by his parents, Mike and Carol Powers, and his two brothers, Todd and Brian along with their families.  

Mark was the first developmentally disabled student to graduate Kelseyville High School in 1990 with a high school diploma.  

As a child and well into adulthood, Mark competed in Special Olympics.

In 1985, Mark competed in the winter World Special Olympics in Park City, Utah in downhill skiing events.  

Mark loved bowling, basketball and weightlifting. Mark also loved to watch movies. He had a kind heart and friendly personality making friends wherever he went.  

Mark worked at Taco Bell in Lakeport for 13 years, and he was involved in People Services his entire adulthood.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Kelseyville Cemetery on Monday, Jan. 22, at 11:30 a.m.
