CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Dean Leroy Schoonderwoerd entered into rest on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, in Clearlake at the age of 50.

Dean was a “gentle giant” and anyone who knows him would tell you that he is the kind of man that would literally give the shirt off his back.

Dean is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Sheila Stewart of Clearlake; daughter, Corissa Schoonderwoerd of Clearlake; father, Bert Schoonderwoerd of Clearlake; sisters, Brenda Schoonderwoerd of Clearlake and Desirae Hamilton-Schoonderwoerd of Muskego, Wis.; and he also leaves behind his loving kitty “Chunky.”

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 15917 Olympic Drive, Clearlake. Please bring your favorite potluck dishes to share!
