LAKEPORT, Calif. – Phil Bell passed away at his home in Lakeport on Dec. 28, 2017.
He was born in Los Angeles on March 18, 1953. After high school in Willows, Calif., Phil joined the Navy and served from 1972 to 1976.
In 1978 he moved to Lake County where he met and married Laurel (Lori) in 1979.
While living in Lake County he worked at John Deere, Ford, Lange Brothers, Fireplug Bar, Holiday Automotive and Noble Construction.
Phil had a passion for fishing and collecting rocks. He had many friends and was grandpa to all the children in the neighborhood.
Phil was the backbone of his family, he will be deeply missed by family and friends. He was always ready to help anyone who needed it and loved to make people laugh.
Phil is survived by his wife, Lori Bell; his daughter, Stacy Ryden; his grandchildren, Krista, Phillip and Jacob Coleman; his great-grandchild, Avalia Hernandez; his mother, Anna Bell; and his sister, Tonya Galbraith.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Grange Hall, 9355 Government Street in Upper Lake, on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m.
