LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – It is with a deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Mike McCabe who passed on Sept. 25, 2017, at the age of 58.

Mike was born in Lakeport in 1959. He attended Upper Lake Elementary school, Upper Lake Middle School and graduated from Upper Lake High School. Mike has lived in Upper Lake all of his life.

He spent the majority of his time on his ranch in Upper Lake, where he raised his three children. When he did leave the ranch he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing horseshoes. Mike was a wonderful father, papa, a hard worker and loyal friend.

He is survived by his friend, Cynthia; mother, Vonna; children, Beau, Corina (Nick) and Trever (Ali); grandchildren, Christopher, Atlantis, Kaylie, Savannha, Dominick, Lilah, Gabriella and Lucas; sisters, Celeste, Caprice (Gary) Cottle and Kathy (Rodney) Williams. He is predeceased by his wife, Julie McCabe and his father, Jack McCabe.

He was truly a remarkable man who was so deeply loved and will be missed. We will be having a celebration of life on Nov. 11 at the Bachelor Valley Grange, 9355 Government St. in Upper Lake from 2 to 5 p.m.

If anyone has any pictures they would like to share of Mike please bring them along. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Upper Lake 4-H or FFA it would be much appreciated.

Until we meet again.
