CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Joe A. Rodriguez died on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at the age of 68 in Clearlake.

Born in Arecebo, Puerto Rico, and formerly of Hayward, Joe had lived in Lake County 20 years. He had worked as a roofer for 30 years.

Joe is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathleen Rodriguez of Clearlake; daughter, Monica (Rodney) Hernandez of Tracy; son, Johnny Rodriguez of Stockton; sister, Rita Perez of Hayward; grandson, Rodney Hernandez Jr. of Tracy; granddaughters, Sabrina Hernandez of Chicago, Illinois, and Jessie, Rosie, Brianna, Arianna Rodriguez, all of Stockton; stepson, Justin Welborn of San Antonio, Texas; and step-granddaughters, Esme and Amelia Welborn of San Antonio.

Joe was preceded in death by his son, Joey Rodriguez.

He was a loving and very generous person, a very hard-working man who loved Puerto Rican music, playing guitar and his Puerto Rican food, especially pasteles.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, beginning at noon at the family home.
