UPPER LAKE, Calif. – Vanessa was a member of the Habematolel tribe of Upper Lake and grew up on the rancheria with her Mother and Father, Ralph Brown Sr.
After her Father’s passing she decided to stay at home with her Mother to raise her three youngest children around her Rancheria family.
Vanessa was not only beautiful inside and out, she loved being around family, constantly keeping busy while caring and loving her children.
She was a part of the building construction of Running Creek Casino and took a supervisory position when it was completed.
Vanessa is survived by her mother, Coveda Miller; children, Leannalyn Faber, 20, Shably Navarro, 19, Davey Doberstein, 16, Talisua Niko, 5, Presley Niko-Timmons, 3, and Weya Timmons, 1; brothers, Ralph Brown Jr., Randall Brown Sr. and Rudy Brown; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
You will be dearly missed and your love not forgotten until we see each other again, we love you.
Traditional American Indian visitation will be held at her home, 10755 Rancheria Road in Upper Lake on Friday, July 7, at 1 p.m.
A graveside funeral service will be at Upper Lake Rancheria Cemetery on Sunday, July 9, at noon.
