LAKEPORT, Calif. – Claire Stewart Whitney, “GiGi,” 80 of Lakeport joined her Lord on Dec. 16, 2015.

She was born April 23, 1935, in Los Angeles. She lived and worked in Southern California, raising her family, until her retirement in 1992 when she and her husband moved to Lake County.

Claire loved her life here and was an active and devoted member of the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Whitney, and her son, Mark P. Whitney.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Whitney; daughters, Janice Bonnett, Cathleen Fincher and Rhonda Daugherty; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

GiGi was loved by many and will be missed by all.
