Susan Delores Simkover
Oct. 2, 1954 – April 14, 2014

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Susan was a bright spot in many lives, loving wife to Scott Simkover, business partner in Smiling Dogs Ranch wines, “Mom” to two Samoyed pups, Sophie and Vino, very involved in the Samoyed community internationally.

Born in Hancock, Mich., after college moving to Arizona and working at the young Intel Corp. for all of her professional life.

Stepmom to Zack and Katie, sister to Shirley Yokie, Paul Ranta and Ronald Ranta.

Retired to Lake County, her life was devoted to helping to make the dream of a winery/vineyard a reality.

A celebration of her life will be scheduled for May.
