Alexander Jackson

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Alexander (Pat) Napoleon Jackson, 73, of Clearlake, went to meet his heavenly father Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013.

He was born Aug. 18, 1940, in Washington, DC.

Alex graduated from John Swett High School in 1958 and served in the United States Air Force from 1958-62, stationed in Alaska.

He lived many years in Hayward, Calif., and retired from Del Monte Corp. in Alameda.

He relocated to Clearlake, Calif., in 1992 where he worked at Robinson Rancheria and Konocti Harbor as a pit boss and blackjack dealer.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda June Price Jackson of Clearlake; son, Steven Todd Jackson of Modesto; daughter, River Mika Coyote (Brenda Jackson) of Incline Village; his mother, Dorthia Virginia Jackson of Butler; his siblings,Andrew Joseph Jackson of Albuquerque, Dorthia Virginia Jackson Hawkins of Oklahoma City and Evelyn Kathleen Jackson of Grove City. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Dwight, Madison and Savannah Jackson of Ripon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Andrew Jackson, and sister, Cindy Lee Jackson Dennison, both of Pennsylvania.

Alex was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He an avid fisherman and bowler and was a volunteer umpire and little league coach who attended all his children’s games.

He loved to teach, he was generous and kind, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. It was said that he never met a stranger.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Praises of Zion Baptist Church.

A memorial will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2:30 p.m. at Praises of Zion Baptist Church, 3890 Emile Ave., Clearlake, telephone 707-995-1319.
