In light of the recent drug sting initiated by the Lake County Sheriff's Department, I am wondering why there is a recall for Sheriff's Rivero's position?
It appears to me that he is instrumental in helping to make our County a safer place for our youth and citizens. It makes me question what the true motive behind the recall is.

Yes, it is a chance to celebrate.
After 27 years together my partner and I can get married and she can get my Social Security.
Don’t you think there is a value for any couple who have stayed together for 27 years?
No one should ever have the power to prevent another human being from being able to pursue happiness without out restrictions.
But I am sad at the same time when the Supreme Court altered the Voting Rights Act in a way that may cause pain to others.
Dr. King said, “No one is free until we are all free.”
Let’s not celebrate one victory at the expense of a defeat. How can the Supreme Court make a statement that it is 2013, folks who were denied the vote for so long now may experience discrimination that will set us back many years.
I say to my LBGT brothers and sisters, let us not forget our victory is sweet but be mindful – we still have a lot of work to get done till everyone can celebrate a total human victory over all oppression.

Friends of Lake County Library would like to thank the public that helped make our May book sale a success and to all the volunteers who helped.
Without your support and donations our libraries would not be able to offer the latest titles or equipment to benefit the community.
Look forward to seeing you at our next sale this fall.

I have had the extreme honor of being the drama teacher at Lower Lake High School for many years. Without the support of my community the students who I teach would not be able to experience the magic that comes with participating in a full blown musical.
This year the Lower Lake Drama Department performed the musical, “Fame.”
The show consisted of a 25-member cast of talented students and a nine-piece professional orchestra under the direction of the talented Viki J and choreographed by Michelle John-Smith.
With all of the community support we were able to purchase a new sound system that enhanced the over-all production.
My sincere gratitude goes out to the following community members and businesses for helping us to keep the magic going hopefully for years to come: Aloha Bay Gift Shop, Beaver Creek Vineyards, Bark Ave. Dog Salon, Bikram Yoga, Big Chill, Bob's Vacuum, Burger Time, Cabo's Mexican restaurant, Cache Creek Vineyards, Cactus Grill, Camille Gouldberg, Carpet Man, Chernoh Excavating, Clearlake Dental, Clearlake Rotary, Clearlake Oaks-Glenhaven Business Association, Cool Ghoul Tattoo, Curves, DJ's Pizza, Debbie's Dog Grooming, Dr. Jack Elizares, Dr. Brian Grey, Dr. Lannette Huffman, Dr. Debra Sally, Elegant Touch/Audra, Angie, Ashley, Chelsey, Nicole, Euphoria Hair Design, Expresso Depot, Fiedler Chiropractic/Ralph and Jan, FloorTown, Foods, Etc., Game Hub, Girlfriends/Jeri and Theresa, Griffin's Furniture, Happy Yogurt Bar, J.T.
