Well they all need to look at who owns the stores that we have in the city and county and look at how many times we go out of county to shop. We are hearing only one side of this story.
We need the work force and the income here. People come here and they do not have the shopping so they leave and we all are looking for the best deal.

Regarding Our Local TV Channel 8:
To the Volunteers of Channel 8, the Clearlake City Council, et al.,
Both sides involved in Channel 8's Public Access TV's issues and agendas are in detante. Beyond the political and the governmental matters there remains the loss of expression. We are very fortunate to have this asset in our community.
Once Channel 8 was boring … then it became interesting … inspiring, at times … and alive! And now it is boring again. It is time to put this to the whole community … Where are the signatures? Where is the public voice? Constructive input? Where is the resolve? How timely will it be?
It's time for both sides to hear us … the very public community; the third side. We are the 'P' in PEG. This is a freedom we cannot afford to let slip away. Instead of polarization how about consensus?
Karen Priest lives in Kelseyville.

Thanks to our vendors, local papers, businesses and individuals throughout the county for their kind and generous support.
A special note of thanks to CM Braito Marina for a significant donation; to Roni England and Shore Line Realty Inc. for coordinating a toy drive, providing toys to youngsters and teens that would not have had gifts for the holiday season.
Your continued contributions provide food, holiday baskets, hot meals, utility assistance, back to school programs, summer camp and many other social services during the holidays and the coming year!
We sincerely appreciate each and every one of you!
Barbara Ringenberg is coordinator for the Salvation Army's Lake County Service Center in Clearlake.
