Given some of the mean spirited and what appear to be politically motivated letters recently submitted to local papers, I wanted to share my personal experiences with Anthony Farrington, who is running for district attorney.

I have known Tony for a number of years. My husband, former Lake County Sheriff Deputy Robert Rumfelt, and I retained Tony to handle some legal matters just shortly before my husband's unfortunate and untimely death while in duty.

After my husband's death my family later was in need of a local attorney to handle a criminal matter for a family member, one that we could trust. I once again turned to Tony. He handled the criminal matter with great skill, knowledge, insight, expertise, and most, importantly, with compassion while working toward a result that was both fair and right.

He has consistently been on my family's side and I am even more confident that as our next district attorney that he will be on the side of Lake County victims and their families.

I am proud to support him and his campaign for district attorney.
