The Clear Lake Advisory Committee should not be disbanded.
I had been informed by my supervisor this committee was important because they had oversight to be sure that the lake was being protected properly by the powers that be (the supervisors).
Imagine my shock when I read in the Record-Bee that the supervisors are considering doing away with this committee.
I have been attending the CLAC meetings these past months and find they really care about the lake as many of us do who have been coming to the lake for years and now living here. For me that is since 1954.
The supervisors need to listen to advisory committees and the people of Lake County. We want our lake cleaned up and protected, but there needs to be a plan.
If there had been a valid plan to use the Measure E money, I am confident it would have passed. The same old way is not working.
Come up with a new plan and the people will support you. We need to do this now!
