Deputies' and correctional officers' associations: Moss' claims couldn't be further from the truth

Recent ads from candidate Joan Moss have implied that Supervisor Rob Brown is putting the public at risk by his business as a bail agent. We would like to respond by saying that this claim could not be further from the truth.

We as deputies and correctional officers have worked with Supervisor Rob Brown in his capacity as bail agent as well as county supervisor and can attest to his professionalism and utmost concern for public safety in each of his responsibilities.

As a bail agent, Rob Brown has successfully worked with law enforcement to return hundreds of fugitives to justice. Rob has done this at his own expense and often puts his own safety at risk to accomplish this.

As a county supervisor he has supported our law enforcement agencies. In fact, Rob Brown has donated his own time and financial resources to build a building that is now used to interview children that have been sexually and physically abused.

Hundreds of individuals who have chosen to harm our children have been convicted as a result of this state of the art facility that Supervisor Brown was instrumental in building.

The Lake County Deputy Sheriffs Association conducted interviews of both candidates for District 5 supervisor and, without question, the outstanding and most qualified candidate is Supervisor Rob Brown.

Both the Lake County Deputy Sheriffs Association and the Lake County Correctional Officers Association are proud to endorse Rob Brown for District 5 supervisor.

Mike Silva is president Lake County Correctional Officers Association and Gary Frace is president Lake County Deputy Sheriffs Association.
