LAKEPORT – The Lake County Vector Control District's Board of Trustees will announce the results of the ballot tabulation on a proposed property assessment this Wednesday, July 15.

A special meeting will take place beginning at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the district's offices at 410 Esplanade in Lakeport.

The district had a public hearing on June 30, at the end of which county Registrar of Voters Diane Fridley began counting the voting results.

The proposed assessment will add an estimated $500,000 to Vector Control's $1.3 million budget if approved. The district said it will use proceeds to maintain services and upgrade equipment and facilities.
