LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Community members interested in running for school and special district office seats have until Friday to file.
Interested persons desiring information regarding filing for school and special district elective offices on the Nov. 5 General Election ballot must file during the filing period from July 15 to Aug. 9, the Elections Office reported.

Official Declaration of Candidacy forms for eligible candidates desiring to file may be obtained from the Lake County Registrar of Voters office in person at 325 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport during regular office hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office is closed county holidays and weekends.
