MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Jan. 6 is the last day to enjoy the colored lights and holiday garlands at the Gibson Museum and Cultural Center.
On Jan. 7 the collections of nativity scenes and Santas, twinkling lights and reflecting balls will retire to storage until December.
The Jan. 6 date honors the Western Orthodox Church’s dates, the religious feast of Epiphany and the ancestral Twelfth Night when youngsters go a-souling and beg for figgy pudding.
Jan. 7’s deep cleaning makes way for a new revolving exhibit. Permanent exhibits remain in place.
The Gibson Museum and Cultural Center at 21267 Calistoga Road is open noon to 4 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Parking for autos with blue disability stickers is available on the Callayomi Street side with entrance ramp and automatic door opener accessible there.
