MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – The South Lake County Fire Sirens is an auxiliary of the South Lake County Fire Protection District, and is welcoming those who would like to join the group.
Members meet on the first Monday of each month – except when it falls on a holiday – in the board room at the Middletown Fire Station on Highway 175.
They meet at 9:30 a.m. for coffee/refreshments with the business meeting beginning at 10 a.m. They usually have a guest speaker prior to the business meeting.
The speaker for the next meeting on Monday, April 4, will be Fire Chief Jim Wright and other representatives of the South Lake County Fire Protection District.
They will be speaking on how the district was formed, its projects, programs and challenges being faced.
The Fire Sirens welcomes community members at their meetings.
The group's goal is to raise money to purchase life saving equipment for the fire district.
