Easter Seals Northern California elects board of directors

NOVATO, Calif. – Easter Seals Northern California announced the recent election of officers and members for 2010-11 who volunteer their time on behalf of children and adults with special needs and a wide range of disabilities.


The new officers and their roles are: Bob Duffield, financial advisor at Edward Jones, board chair; Guy Chicoine, administrator at Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center, vice chair; Valerie Gonyea, CPA, treasurer; Greg Cornelius, broker/owner at Century 21 Alliance, secretary; Maggie Grover, attorney at law at Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard, assistant secretary; Michael Besselievre, member; Larry Goldfarb, chief executive officer at LRG Capital, member; Craig King, CEO and president.


“We are grateful for the time and effort our board members give to support the people we serve with disabilities and the programs and services we provide for them,” said King. “They bring a cross section of expertise that is valuable in guiding the organization.”


Easter Seals Northern California provides exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.


Programs include early intervention, developmental screenings, educational services, medical equipment loan and social recreation, advocacy, information and referral.


The affiliate territory includes 17 counties from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Oregon border. The chapter also offers services and programs through sites in Novato, Rohnert Park and Lakeport.
