UPPER LAKE, Calif. – Shannon Michele of Cache Creek Catering and Lake County Wine Studio are presenting a monthly food and wine series featuring locally produced foods paired with select Lake County Wines.
The series is held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the second Friday of each month with the exception of January, when the event will be held on the third Friday. The per person cost is $15 and reservations are recommended.
November’s event featured a mushroom walnut Wellington appetizer made with Mendocino Chanterelle mushrooms and walnuts from Dancing Tree People Organic Orchard in Upper Lake paired with Brassfield Estate Pinot Noir, and a Shitake Mushroom delicacy paired with Pinot Noir from Robledo Family Winery (see photo).
Dec. 10 will showcase Thompson Valley Ranch Grass Fed Angus paired with Cabernet Sauvignon from High Valley Winery and Noggle Vineyards & Winery.
