Spirit of the Season registration opens

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Spirit of the Season is a holiday program for those living in Cobb, Anderson Springs, Middletown, Hidden Valley Lake and Jerusalem Grade.

The community has for many years served those among us who need help at Christmas with a Christmas food box and gifts for children.

If you do not live within this area, you are urged to get in touch with your local food pantry, church or other organizations for their holiday programs.

Only participants from those towns stated above can be served through Spirit of the Season.

Applications for all Spirit of the Season registrations will be held the end of this month: Oct. 26, 27 and 28.

Please bring proof of residence (current driver’s license, utility bill etc.) and if applicable, also provide proof of income. All new registrants need to bring your children’s birth certificates

If you need Spirit of the Season to provide a gift for your child please bring a list with three choices that your child would like Santa to bring if possible.

If you do not bring a list, they will give your child a generic gift that will be age appropriate. Please recognize that we cannot provide a gift that costs more than $50.

Registration will take place only at Catholic Charities Lake County Program’s office at 21257 Calistoga St. in Middletown. (This is the house between the library and the car wash on the main street in Middletown.)

The hours for registration are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, through Thursday, Oct. 28.

If you wish to apply only for a Christmas food box, you still have to register for the Spirit of the Season during the week of Oct. 26-28.

If you have any questions contact Hedy Montoya at 707-987-8139. Se habla Espanol.
