Lake County Wine Studio hosts Sol Rouge release party Friday

LAKE COUNTY – Lake County Wine Studio is hosting a release party with Bryan Kane of Sol Rouge to release their new vintages on Friday, Nov. 27, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The new vintages include the 2007 Viognier, 2008 Rose, 2007 Mourvedre, 2007 Syrah, 2007 Zinfandel, 2007 Petite Sirah and 2006 Mountain Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. If last year’s releases are any indication, then Kane’s fans are not going to be disappointed.

Delicious appetizers will be served to enjoy with the wines.

Sol Rouge is a family estate vineyard and winery located in the Red Hills Appellation at elevations over 1,800 feet.

The land contains rich, red volcanic soil and, from this unique profile, Sol Rouge derived its name – translating to “red soil” in French.

The 70-acre Sol Rouge estate is currently planted with Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Counoise, Petite Syrah, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and will soon be planted with Cinsault.

Sol Rouge and LCWS will donate 10 percent of both the wine sales and the $15/per person charge from this event to support the Barbara LaForge Memorial Fund / Lake Family Resource Center.

Judy Magoon has been the featured artist for November and her fine artwork remains on display for the Sol Rouge release party as well.

Lake County Wine Studio is located on the corner of First and Main Streets in historic Upper Lake, across from the famous Tallman Hotel and Blue Wing Saloon & Café.
