Lake County Chamber begins recruiting new chief executive officer

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — The Lake County Chamber of Commerce is recruiting a new chief executive officer.

Longtime CEO Melissa Fulton will retire at the end of June.

The chamber has established a selection committee to aid in the search for a new CEO. The chair is Brock Falkenberg, Lake County superintendent of schools.

The committee is made up of chamber members, and business and government leaders.

Falkenberg said the final date that they are accepting applications is Friday, June 18.

To be considered for this position, an applicant must submit a letter of interest, resume, two letters of recommendation and three references.

“We’re looking for a candidate who understands the importance of the Chamber of Commerce in our county, region and state,” Falkenberg said.

Other requirements include five years in executive management, experience in collaborating with government and business leaders regarding legislation and public policy; demonstrated success at hosting financially successful events; and the ability to manage the chamber’s finances including developing an annual budget.
