LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Safeway, Store 983, will reopen on Friday, Aug. 3.

Store management said Thursday that the decision was made by the local and district management to go forward with the Friday reopening.

“There is no time but we as a store will be working as hard as possible to get the store ready for business ASAP. We will be shooting for sometime in the morning,” the store said in a written statement.

The statement added, “Unfortunately we can’t guarantee a time but we will work as hard as humanly possible to serve our community.”

The store is located at 1071 11th St.
