LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – “The Days with Zahrah” television show will feature Lake County on the final season episode to be aired at 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 16, on the Bay Area’s ABC Channel 7.
Host Zahrah Farmer starts each episode in San Francisco and travels to a variety of locations around the country and around the world to explore life, culture, history and music.
In the Lake County segment, she visits five locations including Sigma Ranch & Winery, Cache Creek Vineyards, Brassfield Estate Winery, the Tallman Hotel and the Saw Shop Gallery & Bistro.
Farmer and the production crew were in Lake County in September to film the segment.
“This program is a wonderful way to showcase Lake County,” said Cache Creek Vineyards marketing director, Megan Hoberg. “I believe we will greatly benefit from this exposure in the Bay area and
beyond.”
Terry Dereniuk, Lake County Winery Association executive director, agreed with Hoberg.
“It is very exciting for our wine industry to be featured on this show. We hope that Zahrah’s viewers will decide to experience the journey first hand with a visit to Lake County,” Dereniuk said.
A “Days with Zahrah” producer met Walt Campbell from Six Sigma at a wine tasting at the Andaz Hotel in Napa a few months ago.
The producer was impressed with Six Sigma’s wines and Campbell’s gracious hospitality and decided to feature the region on an upcoming episode.
“Lake County is finally getting the credit it deserves for its wine industry,” said Campbell. “Both the quality level of the wines and the friendly hospitality are bringing visitors from all over the world. The hard work is paying off.”
“Days with Zahrah” is a 30-minute lifestyle travel show.
“The world is such an incredible and beautiful place; what is 'known' can be as intriguing as the 'unknown,'” said Farmer. “When I started 'Days with Zahrah,' my goal was to take viewers on an unforgettable journey.”
