The workshop will take place beginning at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Yoxagoi Orchards, 3545 Soda Bay Road, Kelseyville.
The orchard is on the southeast corner of Soda Bay Road and California Packing/County Park Drive. They will put a sign at the parking entrance.
The trial is being hosted by local pear grower Dan Goff.
The trial was established earlier this year in an organic pear orchard but applies to all nonbearing deciduous fruit and nut trees.
Treatments include organic herbicides, shredded tree mulch, mulch from shredded paper and combinations of each.
