St. Helena Pet Sitters joined forces with the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and pet sitters and owners from across the country for the third annual “Presents 4 Pets” campaign.
“Presents 4 Pets” is a national collection drive to benefit shelter and rescue animals. Held in conjunction with Humane Society of the United States National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, this program solicited products needed to help keep shelters and rescue organizations operational, and animals comfortable and safe.
As part of the program, NAPPS members reached out to their clients and communities with encouragement to collect and donate product for this worthy cause.
Items such as pet food, toys, treats, blankets, towels, rugs, beds, bleach, leashes and collars were collected and donated to a local shelter of the company’s choice.
St. Helena Pet Sitters collected approximately $1,700 worth of product for Lake County animal shelters and rescue.
“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the animal lovers and business’ who donated to this worthy cause to make the 'Presents4Pets' campaign a success,” said Hammond. “It is crucial that we remember animal shelters and rescue groups and the important role they serve in the community.”
Hammond is planning to collect and donate year-round for the Presents 4 Pets program.
