Open mic night planned July 25

MIDDLETOWN – D’s Coffee & Tea Shop, located at 21187 Calistoga St. in Middletown, presents its monthly “Open Mic Night” on Friday, July 24th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

All singers, dancers, musicians, storytellers and comedians are welcome.

This is a free event. Beverages and food will be available for purchase.

CLEARLAKE – Wild About Books will host 18-year-old local author Brandon Rockwell at a reading and book signing on Saturday, July 18.


The reading and signing will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.


Rockwell has written “Ethnis: Destruction,” a science fiction book about counter-terrorist agent Nicodemus Jadey and his siblings that follow a lead from Earth to their home planet of Jhoutai. Of course, that is where the story gets good …


Come celebrate the release of Rockwell's science fiction book.

KPFZ hosts singer songwriter festival July 19

LAKEPORT – Lake County Community Radio, KPFZ 81. FM, will host its inaugural Lake County Singer Songwriter Festival at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 19.


The festival will be held at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre, 275 S. Main St., Lakeport. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.


Come and hear homegrown talent in a benefit for KPFZ.


Tickets are available at Watershed Books in Lakeport, Wild About Books in Clearlake, Dig! Music in Ukiah and the Lake County Wine Studio in Upper Lake.
