KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Ely Stage Stop is back in action.
After taking a two-month break due to the fires and poor air quality in Lake County, the Ely docents are looking forward to welcoming back the Fiddlers’ Jam on Sunday, Oct. 7.
The gates will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The fiddlers will begin the old timey, foot tapping music at noon. Bring the whole family to this free event.
Celebrating the fall season, there are new activities. A hamburger and hot dog barbecue will be available as well as fresh pumpkin pie.
Adding to the fun for the day, the Big Valley 4-H children will share their petting zoo of small animals.
Girl Scout Troop 10490 from Kelseyville will be on hand to paint the faces of young and old. They are using this opportunity to replenish their Summer Camp funds.
The grounds will be decked out in pumpkins galore and fall décor.
Raffle tickets will be available for sale for the monthly seasonal basket and the beautiful handmade quilt. The drawing for the quilt will be this winter. Proceeds from these two items go towards the in-the-works Blacksmith Shop and the Scholarship Fund from the Old Time Fiddler’s Association, District 10.
Lake County Historical Society’s Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum is located at 9921 State Highway 281 (Soda Bay Road) outside of Kelseyville, near Clear Lake Riviera just north of Highway 29/Kit’s Corner. Current hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday.
