KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Coffee House Concert series is bringing well-known musician and political satirist Roy Zimmerman to Kelseyville on Friday, June 15, at 7 p.m.
The concert will take place at the Fore Family Vineyards Wine Room at 3920 Main St. in Kelseyville.
Sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County, the performance is open to the public.
Tickets for the performance are available at Watershed Books in Lakeport, at www.uuclc.org or at the door. For more information, call 707-812-2788.
The publication “No Depression Magazine” has said of Zimmerman, "Without a doubt, Roy Zimmerman is among the most important political commentators of the last few decades, and in the end, it's the music that unites and disarms. With music this good and humor this insightful, there is good reason to be optimistic."
Zimmerman himself promises to “bring laughter and encouragement to progressive-minded people.”
The performance, called ReZist, is 90 minutes of Zimmerman’s original songs; a funny and forceful affirmation of peace and social justice.
Zimmerman’s songs have been heard on HBO and Showtime.
He has shared stages with Bill Maher, Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, John Oliver, Kate Clinton and George Carlin.
People are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time, as seating is limited and the performance is likely to sell out.
