MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – As part of its going series of “Resilience” workshops, the Middletown Art Center will host the Resilience Writer’s Workshop on Saturday, Feb. 10.

The workshop will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at the center, located at 21456 Highway 175 at the junction of Highway 29 in the heart of Middletown.

"The Resilience Writer’s Workshop is going strong!" said Casey Carney, Lake County poet laureate emerita (2014-16) and facilitator. "This Saturday we’ll follow Clive Matson’s format of letting the “crazy child,” come out and play, and have their say. There will also be a segment where we will use creative writing to interact with the visual art in the new MAC exhibit, ‘Obsession,’ a vibrant showing by our local Lake County artists!”

Adults and teens ages 12 and up are encouraged to join us for just $5. Participants will have opportunity to read in Resilience Project poetry readings coming soon at MAC, and to submit work for the Resilience Project chapbook of writings and images comprised of work created during the project.
