Sulphur Fire Benefit Concert takes place Feb. 3 at Soper Reese Theatre

LAKEPORT, Calif. – On Saturday, Feb. 3, The Guitarsonists will be rockin' the blues and putting on a fabulous dance party from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Sulphur Fire Benefit Concert at the Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport.

The Guitarsonists is made up of three top flight musicians including Chris Cain, Mighty Mike Schermer and Daniel Castro. Chris Cain's bass player Steve Evans and drummer Mick Mestek will be joining them for the ride.

Proceeds will go to the NCO Sulphur Fire Fund to support those who lost their homes in October. Snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, wine and beer will be for sale. Reserve your seats now if you plan on attending, as limited seating remains available.

This concert is presented by Spotlight On Productions in partnership with the Soper Reese Theatre and the Time Bank of Thrive Lake County.

There will be a raffle for a gift basket donated by The Soap Shack Baby. Silent auction items have been donated by local artists and crafters including: David Neft, Regina's Ribbons, Butterflies, Hailey Bugs Crafts, Moon Star Creations, Natural Californian, Clarke's Collectibles, The Abalone Nomad, Tina's Jewels, Lisa Calkins, Eileen Hodges, John Saare, Shelley Neils, and Hawk and Horse Winery.

Mark your calendar for the next fire benefit to be produced by Spotlight On Productions. The Spring Sulphur Fire Benefit has been scheduled for Friday, April 27, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Soper Reese Theatre.

This dance party will feature The Anthony Paule Soul Orchestra, a nine-piece soul revue with a three-piece brass section and two vocalists: Terrie Odabi and Loralee Christensen.

The band has been nominated for multiple Blues Music Awards (BMAs) and will be performing at the BMA Awards ceremony in Memphis in May. You can find some of their memorable performances at the Maspalomas and Poretta Soul Festivals on YouTube.

The Soper Reese Theatre is located at 275 S. Main St., Lakeport.
