Soper Reese screens ‘Exodus’ Feb. 13

LAKEPORT, Calif. – The 1960 drama, “Exodus” starring Paul Newman, Eva Marie Saint and Ralph Richardson, screens at the Soper Reese Theatre on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 1 and 6 p.m.
Entry to the film is by donation.
The word "epic" is no stretch for this film about Israel’s struggle for independence in 1947 which is based on Leon Uris’ best-selling book.
Directed by Otto Preminger, with script by Dalton Trumbo, “Exodus” is filled with hunger strikes, jail breaks, and fine acting, especially Sal Mineo's standout performance as activist Dov Landau. Oscar for Best Musical Score.
The movie is sponsored by Karen Weston, Maureen Carpenter and Michael Adams. Rated G. Run time is 3 hours and 28 minutes.
