LUCERNE, Calif. – On Saturday, Feb. 3, The Guitarsonists will be rockin' the blues at the Soper Reese Theatre from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Sulphur Fire Benefit Concert.

Proceeds go to the NCO Sulphur Fire Fund to support those who lost their homes in October.

Please bring cash or checks for the silent auction, where you'll be able to find wine from Hawk and Horse Vineyards, paintings, handmade quilts, painted wine glasses, jewelry, art cards and other crafts made by Lake County artists. The Soap Shack Baby has also generously contributed a large gift basket for the raffle.

Snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, and wine and beer will be for sale. More event information is on Facebook at: Lake County Fire Recovery Benefits.

The Guitarsonists consists of three top-notch blues musicians including Chris Cain who brought down the house at the 2016 Blue Wing Blues Festival. Chris was just nominated for a BMA (Blues Music Award) for best blues guitarist and regularly sells out concerts in Northern California.

He is known worldwide from his tours in South America, Australia and Europe. His side men bassist Steve Evans and drummer Mick Mestek will appear with the band.

Joining Cain is Mighty Mike Schermer, a first-call sideman for Marcia Ball, Bonnie Raitt, Elvin Bishop and many other blues icons.

When visiting from his home in Austin, Texas, Mike plays the Blue Wing Saloon in Upper Lake. In September 2016, he headlined the Valley Fire Tribute Concert at Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum in Kelseyville.

Also playing is Daniel Castro, a dynamic blues singer/songwriter/guitarist who is revered in San Francisco's North Beach scene and throughout California. Castro has been seen in Lake County at Concerts in the Park in Lakeport and at the 2016 Blue Wing Blues Festival.

The concert is A Spotlight On Production in partnership with the Soper Reese Theatre and the Time Bank of Thrive Lake County.
