KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The community is invited to the Jan. 7 first Sunday Fiddlers Jam held in the barn at Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum.
The fiddlers are ready to play some music to enjoy and sing along.
The Lake County Historical Society’s Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum is located at 9921 Highway 281 (Soda Bay Road) in Kelseyville, near the Clear Lake Riviera, just north of Highway 29 at Kit’s Corner.
Current hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday.
This is a free event in conjunction with members of the Northern California Old Time Fiddlers Group.
Donations provide fiddlers scholarships and fund the completion of the Ely Barn. Fiddlers’ Jams occur the first Sunday of every month from noon until 2 p.m.
If you have a few hours a month, the Ely Stage Stop & Country Museum welcomes you to work on various projects on the five-acre site or become a docent to greet visitors and share information on history, current displays and planned events. Private tours and special events can be arranged by appointment.
Visit www.elystagestop.org or www.lakecountyhistory.org, and check out the stage stop on Facebook at California's Lake County Historical Society or call the museum at 707-533-9990.
