UPPER LAKE, Calif. – The Blue Wing Saloon in Upper Lake plans festive Christmas Eve and New Year’s event events and fun on New Year’s Day.
On Sunday, Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, brunch will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Forshay will perform from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For the Sunday supper, from 6 to 8 p.m., Majide, featuring Paul Kemp on keyboards and vocalist Machiko Shimada will provide seasonal background music.
The Blue Wing will be closed on Christmas Day.
For New Year’s Eve brunch, vocalist Sarah Tichava and bassist Hands Brede will entertain.
From 5 to 9 p.m., the Blue Wing will host its annual "New York" New Year's Eve. Enjoy a white tablecloth, candlelit three-course dinner with music by the quartet of George Husaruk, Bear Kamarov, Paul Kemp and Machiko Shimada, and a champagne toast as the New Year ball drops in Times Square (9 p.m. on the West Coast).
On New Year’s Day, come by the Blue Wing for its New Year's Day Monday Blues from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Dave Broida and his Blues Farm band will perform and they will hold the annual birthday celebration for bass player extraordinaire Sue Hill.
The Blue Wing Saloon is located at 9550 Main St. in Upper Lake.
