LAKEPORT, Calif. – The GenX Cinema series presents the 1993 animated sci-fi fantasy “Nightmare Before Christmas” on Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. at the Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport.

Entry is by donation.

Tim Burton’s knock-out musical fantasy boasts some of the wittiest, most vigorous stop-motion animation effects in the history of the process.

The man who gave us Batman and Beetlejuice this time gives the audience his kind of children’s film, a delightfully off-the-wall holiday fairy tale. Voices by Chris Sarandon, Danny Elfman, Paul Reubens and Catherine O’Hara.

The film is rated PG and appropriate for children and families. Run time of 1 hour 16 minutes.
